NuRulz story begins..: March 2009

It was our precious baby boy's 1st birthday. We can’t believe he’s one already!..As this is his 1st party we kept it simple. Invited few friends and relative and their kids to celebrate.

Haikal was in a good mood but was quite sleepy as he did not take his afternoon nap. Mak, bibik and i were too busy preparing the food.By the time it was the cutting cake part, he was not that anxious to blow out the candles, while his friends where having the opposite side of reactions. Everyone else couldn't wait so they ended blowing out the candles together.

We served chicken rice, fried noodles, fried chicken wings and couple of desserts. Desserts were done by my mum in law.She baked the cupcakes, apam gula hangus, and cream puff. She's so good in cooking, which makes her desserts very yummy and every one loved it. I left the birthday cake to a pro..hehehe.I was aiming to have a 3d cake and Kak June from cupakekasih.blogspot.com made my dream came true. After browsing her blog, found various 3d cakes which made me very difficult to choose the best for haikal. Hubby said, awat susah sangat nk pilih cake..?.Well, men do not go down to details, don't they ladies? ;) After various series of serious thinking , i chosed the Spongebob cake. ordered a two tiered moist chocolate cake layered with choc ganache and fondant figurines on the top. Nice and cute. If i had a daughter, i would definitely go for the princess cake. damn gorgeous !!.

The party would be much more fun if Cik Yan was here. Well Cik Yan, to bad you have to leave to Melbourne so soon.I know Haikal misses you soo much. It would be glad if my parents could be here as well. Can't wait to see them this coming June.

We're sorry we couldn't invite everyone as it was last minute. Insya'Allah there would be other makan2 at out house..hehe

Happy birthday my dear Haikal! You may not know it yet but you have brought so much joy to us.
